Frankie Cena

Musician. Presenter. Model. Actor.

As a singer, model, and television presenter, Frankie Cena has loved the spotlight from a very young age.

Frankie's first official performances were with the British Columbia Boys Choir. He traveled all throughout Canada, the USA, Europe, and Asia, was featured on a full size billboard in China, and sang for Her Majesty, The Queen of England at her 50th Jubilee in front of millions of television viewers and 18,000+ hockey fans.

As a solo artist, Frankie began performing at a variety of festivals, events, and singing competitions throughout his hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia where he walked away with titles such as Port Moody Idol, Tri-City Idol, Youth Talent Showdown Champion, Lougheed's Got Talent Champion and PNE Star Discovery Finalist.

His singing achievements, however, were not just limited to the local stage.  Frankie participated in the final season of Canadian Idol where he made it to the "TV Round", beating out hundreds to sing for the celebrity judges. Years later, after advancing to the third round of the Glee Project in Chicago, he was able to sing for Robert Urlich, the Casting Director of Glee, who complimented him on his “lovely voice". Frankie has also auditioned for the X Factor UK Series and was blessed to perform live at the X Factor USA auditions where he received a standing ovation by the LA audience.

Over the years, Frankie has been able to combine his talents of acting, singing, and performing in lead theater roles in "The King Who Wouldn't Sing", "How I Became Queen", "Aladdin", Danny in "Grease" and as Gabe in “Next to Normal.”

In 2012, Frankie obtained his largest title as Mr. World Canada. Beating out several hopefuls, he would go on to represent his nation at the world’s largest competition of its kind. The Mr. World contest featured over 50 men from around the world and included fitness, modeling, photo shoots, interviews, a multimedia competition, and a talent contest. After several eliminations and an emotional performance, Frankie became Mr. World Talent and went on to place in the Top 10 overall, despite being the shortest male in the history of the event.

Shortly after his reign began, Frankie became the only Canadian selected among thousands of North Americans to be featured in American Eagle’s 2013 Back to School Campaign. His campaign photos were seen in stores around the world.

Just one year later, in 2013, Frankie recorded his first single, “On Top of the World”, a touching song paying tribute to his struggles and resolution as an artist. One of the lines in his song, “if ever one door closes, knock it down”, is a motto that he chooses to live by.

Although Frankie passed on his title, his Mr. World career was not over yet. In 2014, Frankie began his professional television-presenting career as the competition’s co-host. He was privileged to work along side Miss World, Megan Young and was also able to perform his original song. At the end of 2014, Frankie received another call from the Miss World Organization to work as the Web Presenter for Miss World 2014, the world’s oldest and largest beauty pageant, featuring over 120 women from around the world. Frankie worked for one month, in London, England, interviewing the women and presenting the daily scoop on the competition. Frankie was also one of the four presenters of the finale night, broadcast live worldwide alongside, Tim Vincent, Megan Young, and Steve Douglas.

In 2015, Frankie was hired for his first ever, International Speaking Engagement. Frankie will travel to Naga City in the Philippines to deliver a keynote address at the convocation ceremony for Brentwood College of Asia International School.

In his spare time, Frankie coaches high school speech and debate, and his students have won numerous awards throughout the world. He enjoys sharing his experience and mentoring other young hopefuls as they begin their own careers in the music and presenting industry. He also enjoys fitness, spending time with his friends and family, and traveling. His motto, “Find Your Voice; It Matters”, perfectly illustrates his passion for inspiring youth and also using his voice as a speaker and singer.
